Sustainability

Pioneering the way to a sustainable world

The thematic complex of the sustainable raw material and energy turnaround is the focus of our work. Since our founding in 1990, our goal has been to conduct sustainable research in the fields of environmental, safety and energy technology. For us, topics such as regenerative energies, renewable raw materials and energy efficiency, innovative materials, water and wastewater technology, and knowledge and resource management are among the research areas of the future.

Our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

With our projects and portfolio on circular economy, carbon management, green hydrogen and local energy systems, we are making concrete contributions to achieving the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In doing so, the following six goals in particular are the focus of our researchers.
