Prof. Dr.-Ing. Görge Deerberg

Director for Transfer

Professorship in Cultural and Social Sciences at the FernUniversität – "Environmental Sciences"

Environmental sciences at the FernUniversität are a multidisciplinary field of work defined by sustainability-oriented problems resulting from local, regional and global environmental changes. The work area is in dialogue with a variety of disciplines, such as corporate environmental and sustainability management, environmental economics, environmental politics, environmental psychology, environmental law, ecology and ecosystem research, environmental chemistry, energy technology, energy economics, biology, biotechnology and environmental process engineering.

Professorship "Environmental and Process Engineering"
Ruhr University of Bochum, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Thermo- and Fluid Dynamics

The application-oriented development of processes in environmental and process technology takes place supported by numerical simulation and based on investigations in the laboratory and pilot plant station. In addition to conventional stationary processes, the focus increasingly lies on dynamically operated processes with complex, coupled reaction processes, and heat and mass transport.

Specialisms lie in biorefineries, gas hydrates and the use of metallurgical gases. Application-oriented fundamental process engineering development is paramount here.
