Fraunhofer UMSICHT and Fraunhofer IEM have developed a concept for a hands-on one-day workshop in which SMEs can learn how to establish automated life cycle assessment tailored to their individual needs.

Many companies are faced with the challenge of wanting to make a significant contribution to a sustainable future. Not only increasing regulatory requirements, but also the increased interest of customers in sustainable products and processes requires a new, efficient infrastructure for ecological assessment and life cycle assessments.

The one-day hands-on workshop offers you tailor-made know-how for automated LCAs in SMEs.

The workshop is divided into five parts:

• Keynote speech on current regulatory requirements
• Demonstration of prototypes for automated life cycle assessment
• Survey and analysis of specific requirements
• Creation of a customized roadmap with initial implementation steps
• Discussion of the next steps and support options
