The good news is: A climate-neutral supply of energy and carbon-containing raw materials is possible. But, in order to achieve that, the energy and raw material system must fundamentally change.
We are monitoring this change and advise on how to shape the transition into a sustainable society. In our research projects, we keep an eye on social and economic needs and provide impulses for technological innovations. The overall objective is to replace the hitherto largely linear economy with circular economies.
The new “raw materials“ of a circular economy are sustainably sourced carbon, renewable but mostly fluctuating energy, and recycled products and materials.
This is where our strategic projects come in.
