Experience applied research in practice

What does it look like behind the scenes of an institute that is part of one of the leading organizations for applied research? What types of tasks do the scientists deal with? And what does a typical work day look like at Fraunhofer UMSICHT? We offer you various opportunities to find answers to these and many other questions while you are still in school. You are cordially invited to gain insights into our work and perhaps join us in making the world a little more sustainable.

“Join in and get involved” is the motto of Girls'Day at Fraunhofer UMSICHT: For one day, female high school students can try out what everyday life is like in applied research. In addition to practical work in the areas of environmental, safety and energy technology, there is also the opportunity to ask female scientists about their experiences and how they got into research.
